The Students' Union has a fantastic online shop that's useful for buying academic books. Included in the rebuild was a new stylised responsive design which provided seamless functionality and integrated the POS system.

Responsibilities included: updating sign-ups, extracting data from sign-up groups and maintaining content.

Arranging meetings with separate departments.

Obtaining permission to import RSS feed data without site login.

Adjusting the RSS feed to output specific news items.

Updating main news articles, scheduling adverts and liaising with local businesses. Completing and sending a HTML email to 29,000 people, including updating content and making major adjustments to the template without error. Additional tasks included assessing Google stats and looking into browser issues. View code.

Implementation:

During the period of use, there were no reported errors from the script or it's implementation.

Each HTML email could be created in under 30mins.

Used once a week for 2 years.

On each mail shot was used to contact 29,000 students.
